
The Thurman Perry Foundation is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Louisiana dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls impacted by incarceration through direct financial support, educational assistance, public health resources, and advocacy. Founded in memory of Purple Heart recipient U.S. Army Master Sergeant Thurman Perry Jr. by his daughter, Gabrielle A. Perry, MPH, the organization focuses on removing systemic barriers to reentry success and expanding opportunities for formerly incarcerated women and their families. Its flagship programs include scholarship funding, menstrual equity initiatives in correctional facilities, and housing relief to help justice-impacted moms rebuild stability.
