STOP (Stop Taking Our People) is a movement framing and organizing initiative that names the political machinery behind immigration enforcement and the criminal punishment system. It highlights how policing, detention, deportation, and surveillance work as one interconnected apparatus powered by anti-Blackness and state control. Because the violence is not isolated, STOP reframes enforcement as systemic harm, not isolated “immigration issues.”
The work under the WeMakeThemStop.org banner centers Operation Break the ICE Machine, a campaign aimed at disrupting enforcement infrastructure where it operates and profits. That means exposing hidden support systems such as hotels and other venues that house federal agents, and calling for consumer pressure, public identification, and boycott campaigns.
