roperty of the People is a nationally focused nonprofit (501(c)(3)) that pursues governmental transparency to strengthen democratic governance and public oversight. The organization, led by attorneys, scholars, and activists, uses Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, research methodologies, and litigation to liberate and publish government documents that would otherwise remain hidden from the public.
