People Power Florida

People Power for Florida is a Florida-focused civic engagement and voter empowerment organization founded in 2021 by State Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani. It’s driven by a youth-led movement to boost civic participation, register underrepresented Floridians to vote, and build long-term grassroots leadership capacity across the Sunshine State.

What They Do

• Organize statewide voter registration drives and outreach events to register new voters.

• Provide non-partisan voter education, voter registration check tools, vote-by-mail resources, and election reminders.

• Train and mobilize volunteers for grassroots civic engagement initiatives, including phone banks and campus organizing.

• Build a multi-generational movement to reshape Florida’s electorate and boost democratic participation among young people.

Why It Matters
In a state with a large and diverse population, expanding access to the ballot and empowering historically underrepresented voters is essential for defending voting rights and civic participation. People Power for Florida acts as an infrastructure for sustained voter engagement and democratic empowerment at the community level.
